Curtailing telecast duration

Indian Party for Development and Democracy(IPDD) is of the view that people spend a lot of time on watching television  and in reading newspapers and  magazines to the detriment of their work by which they earn and by neglecting their duty towards their families, friends and society.. In India too much importance is given in gaining general knowledge. No information becomes knowledge unless it helps a person in his own work or in earning.  There is no need to telecast news all the time. There is also need for limiting the advertisement time during the programmes.  IPDD wants all political parties and media to cooperate  and   impose a limit on the duration of telecast. A few channels can be allowed to telecast during night time and  few others during day time. A few popular programmes should  be telecast only for 3 or 4 days in a week. Television channels and newspapers should not be allowed to coach the students for their examinations, as in that case the students will not limit seeing and reading their lessons but will also spend time in seeing and reading other programmes/news which will spoil their studies. A country’s economic development is based on the hard and intelligent work of the people. A person has to work for atleast 8 hours a day.. Travelling to and from office may take about 1-2 hours.. Household wortk- shopping, cooking ,  washing , cleaning, eating etc may take about 3-4 hours. Preparing for going to office like bath, dressing etc may take about 1 hour. One may need to sleep for about 8 hours. Thus one needs 21-23 hours a day for unavoidable work. So one has only 1-3 hours for other work including watching of TV. If more time is spent on watching TV, it will be at the cost of other important work..Media should volunteer to limit the duration of telecast. .

Imposition of Hindi

Indian Party for Development and Democracy is of the view that naming of central government schemes in Hindi language is imposition of Hindi. The schemes should be named in English which should be translated into Hindi and various other Indian languages. If it is felt that the original should be in an Indian language, all the Indian languages should be taken in turn to name the central govt.schemes. The other Indian languages should not be neglected. Many people who do not know Hindi have not been able to understand the schemes even when they read newspapers in their mother tongue as these newspapers also carry the Hindi names.
